We guarantee that your family or group will always be the only booking on any trip. We do not sell trips "by the seat".
We are the only RIB tour in Falmouth devoted solely to single group trips and licenced by the UK Coastguard Agency to travel out to sea, beyond the limits of Falmouth Bay.
Every adventure will be tailor made to your wishes. Favourites include exploring the Lizard coast, searching for dolphins and, for the shorter trips, investigating Falmouth Harbour and the Bay.

Our Story
Always messing about in boats, it has long been a dream to share the things our family love by offering a personal, bespoke, service to small groups out on the water.
Launched in 2019 and with 5* reviews every time, we look forward to welcoming you on board Harbinger for a trip you and your children will never forget.
The Boat
"Harbinger" is hand-built in the UK by XS RIBS, to a design that has stood the test of time over many years.
Powered by a Mercury Verado Supercharged 200HP outboard engine she has a top speed of 45 knots (about 50 mph) and a range of 150 miles.
She is licensed by the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency to carry up to 7 passengers, up to 20 miles offshore.

Safety Equipment
All vessels properly licensed to carry passengers in the UK must provide safety equipment stipulated by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
Our licence permits travel up to 20 miles offshore and the required kit includes; liferaft, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, VHF Radio, lifejackets & lifebelts.
Harbinger meets and in most cases exceeds the MCA requirements; additional fire fighting equipment, extra first aid kits, Class B AIS (Automatic Identification System), PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) and Radar.
We supply state-of-the-art "Ocean Safety" automatic life-jackets for adults and any children over 15kg
The Skipper
Iain's love of boats started over 20 years ago, when as a keen diver, he took his first powerboat course. Fast forward to 2024 and he is now the owner and skipper of the RHIB Harbinger.
He holds the RYA Advanced Powerboat Certificate of Competence with Maritime and Coastguard Agency Commercial Endorsement.
In addition, Iain is a trained first aider and an RYA Powerboat Instructor.

The August Rock bouy marks the safe passage into our home base, the Helford River.
Why is the boat called "Harbinger"
A harbinger was originally someone who made arrangements for the comfort of a travelling party, often royalty. It later came to mean a person who brought you what you wanted or a foretelling of something in the future and then during the 18th Century it changed again and was sometimes used in a negative way.
It is my mission to reclaim the positive vibe for Harbingers everywhere.
