We have completed the UK government recognised COVID Secure risk assessment. As a result, we made several changes to the operation of the vessel and trips to reduce the likelihood of transmission of the virus. However, it is impossible to remove every risk. Please ensure you understand the actions and are satisfied with the steps taken. If not, please do not book a trip and we look forward to seeing you next year.
You will be the only group on board for the duration of your trip.
Harbinger is configured with two single seats at the console, two double seats midships and a bench seat at the stern.
Passengers will be seated behind the skipper, on the double seats and bench seat. However it is not possible to create a distance of 2m. The skipper will wear a face mask whilst talking to you to mitigate the short social distance.
You may choose to wear a face-mask whilst on board.
Your skipper will wear a face mask including a Pn95 filter whilst you board and disembark. The mask may not always be worn whilst the vessel is underway.
The pontoon we use for boarding is also used by passengers on the Helford River Ferry and other boat owners. Local Authority regulations require everyone to wear a face-mask while on the pontoon. These may be purchased at the kiosk if you forget to bring your own.
It is not necessary for you to wear a mask whilst on board, but you are of course free to do so.
Hand sanitiser (70% alcohol) is available on board for you to use.
All handholds, seats and tubes will be cleaned between every trip.
We provide you with a lifejacket which you must wear at all times on board.
Cleaning - The lifejacket, belts and buckles will be disinfected after every trip. We have sufficient jackets to alternate sets between trips.
Fitting - The skipper will demonstrate how to put on and fit the lifejacket. The straps will be tightened from behind.
In order to comply with social distancing regulations, it will not be possible for the skipper to assist passengers when boarding or disembarking. Please ensure your party are sufficiently agile to cope with a step of 40cm from the pontoon into and out of the boat.
Please also note the local authority requirement that face masks must be worn whilst on the pontoon.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide our waterproof jackets without the risk of cross contamination. Please bring your own waterproof jacket and a warm top to wear.
We will continue to provide waterproof trousers and these will be cleaned between each trip.
